OUR STORY

Intrinsic Lifestyle was originally founded in 2018 by partner Michael Thomas & myself Anisha Thomas. It began in our small 4 bedroom home in Staten Island, NY. This is where we first began to help service, care, and house senior citizens as well as individuals with moderate mental &/ emotional disabilities. Michael has always been open to helping people get on their feet to better themselves. Family and friends who needed a lending hand were able to count on Michael. I believe Michael and Eric Williams (brother & partner) began having this welcoming heart, when they both were younger in the care of their mother and were faced with homelessness, as their father was combative with drugs and alcohol, eventually landing himself into the system of incarceration. Trying experiences has led Michael and Eric to understand the challenges encountered when things seem unbearable.

I, on the other hand, have a soft spot for the elderly and mental diagnosis. Watching my great grandmother who is 95 years old, with Alzheimer’s and my grandmother 76yrs with dementia, both who are in my care, grow older with fading remembrance of life’s most precious memories breaks my heart. These two women, alongside my mother, played a major role in my life, and because of these mental illnesses, I cherish the memories of my upbringing even more. I thrive to protect and help those who are helpless and in need.  We all have dealt with obstacles of all sorts in our lifetime and now we have come together to inspire others to their potential greatness.
